Ozrie.

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

The short version. Ozrie has no advertising, no third-party trackers, no analytics cookies, and no data selling. We store only what's needed to make the app work. Your diagnostic answers, diary, and goals stay private to your browser or your two-person shared space. Only forum posts a moderator approves are ever public, and those are anonymous.

1. Who we are

Ozrie ("we", "us") provides this website and app. For any privacy question, email [email protected].

2. What we store, and why

DataWhyWhere it lives
Your diagnostic ratings, diary entries, goalsTo run the app for youOur server, tied to an anonymous ID in your browser (or your shared-space code)
Shared-space content (when you connect two devices)To sync the two of youOur server, tied to the space code you create
Forum posts and answersTo run the community forumOur server; shown publicly only after moderator approval, under an anonymous handle
A random client ID and, if you use the forum, a generated handleTo keep your data yours across visitsYour browser's local storage; the ID is also sent to our server with requests

We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app. Please avoid typing real names or identifying details into diary entries or forum posts.

3. Cookies & tracking

Ozrie does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not embed third-party trackers, pixels, or social widgets. We don't profile you or follow you around the web.

To make the app work, your browser stores a small amount of data locally (via local storage, not tracking cookies): a random client ID so your work is still here when you return, and — if you use the forum — your anonymous handle and simple rate-limit timers. This information stays in your browser and is only used to run Ozrie. You can clear it any time with your browser's "clear site data" option or the app's Reset my data button. If we ever add a strictly-necessary session cookie, it will be limited to keeping the app working and never used for advertising.

4. Third parties that help run the site

We use infrastructure providers purely to host and protect the site — for example a hosting provider (such as Railway) and a network/security provider (such as Cloudflare). They may process technical data like IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse. If we enable Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection on the forum, it performs a privacy-preserving human check without the tracking cookies a traditional CAPTCHA uses. These providers act as our processors and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

5. The support directory

If you click a link in our support directory, you leave Ozrie and the destination site's own privacy policy applies. Some links are paid partnerships, clearly labeled; see our Disclaimer & Terms.

6. How long we keep data

Personal app data remains until you reset it or it becomes inactive. Forum posts remain unless removed by you (where available) or a moderator. You can ask us to delete data associated with your handle or shared space by emailing [email protected] — include enough detail (like your handle or space code) for us to find it.

7. Your choices & rights

Because we collect so little and don't require an account, the simplest controls are in your hands: use Reset my data in the app, or clear your browser's site data. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to processing. To exercise them, email [email protected].

8. Children

Ozrie is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
