Cookie Policy

Last updated:

The short version. Ozrie sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies. To make the app work, your browser keeps a small amount of data locally (called "local storage"). That data stays on your device, is never used to profile you, and you can clear it any time.

1. What are cookies and local storage?

Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to store. "Local storage" is a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device but, unlike cookies, is not automatically sent to a server with every request. Ozrie relies on local storage for a few essentials and does not use tracking cookies at all.

2. What Ozrie actually stores in your browser

NameTypePurposeLasts
Client IDLocal storageA random identifier so your diagnostic answers, diary, and goals are still here when you return. Not linked to your identity.Until you clear it
Forum handleLocal storageYour generated anonymous handle (e.g. quiet-heron-412), so your forum posts keep a consistent name.Until you clear it
Rate-limit timersLocal storageSimple timestamps that stop accidental double-posting and spam.Rolling, short-lived
Cookie-notice flagLocal storageRemembers that you dismissed the "no-tracking" notice so it doesn't reappear.Until you clear it

If you enable the optional Cloudflare Turnstile human check on the forum, Cloudflare may set its own strictly-necessary token to confirm you're not a bot. Turnstile is designed to be privacy-preserving and does not use the cross-site tracking cookies a traditional CAPTCHA relies on.

3. What Ozrie does not do

4. Managing or clearing this data

You're always in control. You can clear everything Ozrie has stored on your device in two ways:

Clearing this data signs you out of your anonymous session and removes your saved answers on that device; shared-space and approved forum content remain.

5. Changes

If our use of cookies or local storage changes, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date. Because we don't use tracking cookies, we don't show a consent wall — but this notice keeps you informed.
